The Framingham Fund’s mission is to promote the well being of Framingham, its people, and its businesses.

Description of the scholarship

The Framingham Fund Scholarship leverages the tremendous creativity, energy, and goodwill of Framingham High School students to fulfill the fund’s mission. We use ScholarJet, a skills-based competition where students can win scholarships for their education, show  their skills off to employers, build a portfolio and do what they love – showing their love for Framingham.

Previous Scholarships

The Framingham Fund awarded $5,000 and $1,000 scholarships in the Spring of 2019. Read about the winners on FraminghamSource.com.

2020 Scholarship

The 2020 Framingham Fund scholarship competition will commence September 3, 2019. Sign up for email updates and follow us on Facebook to keep up to date on announcements.

Scholarship award criteria

Students’ challenge submissions will be judged based on three criteria.

Impact (50%): How positive and how big was the impact of the challenge submission?

Creativity (25%): How creative was the challenge submission?

Resourcefulness (25%): How resourceful was the student in the challenge submission?

A panel of caring, independent judges will review and rate student challenge submissions to determine scholarship winners.

Type of students eligible for scholarships

Any student enrolled in a Framingham high school and who will be attending college is eligible.

Frequency of the award

There will be two ScholarJet competitions every year – once in the fall and once in the spring.

Number and amounts of scholarships

Funding from donors and sponsors has been secured for at least one scholarship of $5,000 every fall and spring semester, beginning in the spring of 2019. Additional sponsors and donors are being sought. We expect both the number and amount of scholarships to increase significantly.

Donations can be made through a GoFundMe campaign at https://gofundme.com/Framingham.Fund.

100% of all donations will be awarded to deserving Framingham High School student.

All services and fees (e.g. website hosting, credit cards transaction fees, etc.) are paid for by sponsors, not donors. Donations are encouraged in any amount.

Sponsors are people and businesses that care about Framingham.

Sponsors can designate their contributions to be either for scholarships, fees, or any combination. Recognition of sponsors will be made on all communications (e.g. press releases), promotional material (e.g. student giveaways), and at all events (e.g. scholarship award ceremony). Checks should be made payable to The Framingham Fund and mailed to The Framingham Fund, PO Box 987, Framingham, MA 01701. Sponsorships are encouraged in any amount.
